Rhinoplasty

At the question: what part of your body bother the most? Most women would answer, "nose". Rhinoplasty is cosmetic surgery which changes the nose shape or size. It is one of the most required surgery and is targeted to women and men who are dissatisfied with their appearance and shape of the nose.

It is a surgical technique that reshapes the nose and sculpt natural sequelae of injuries by repairing or correcting possible hereditary abnormalities.

Who chooses to make such an intervention, can make it for aesthetic reasons (when the nose is large, hooked, long) or to solve breathing problems.

Anesthesia
These interventions can be executed either under local anesthesia (in case of low-scale operations and short duration) or under general anesthesia (at patient request).

Duration
The duration of such surgery is on average 60 minutes (can reach up to three hours) and can be performed by two surgical techniques: open or closed.

Surgery
Many plastic surgeons prefer endonasal method (closed), in which an incision is made before. Others prefer the open method, especially in complex cases.

Risks
After surgery, on the skin may appear small nasal pyramid red points due to small blood vessels break. As for the scars, they do not notice if practiced closed and when practiced open, they are little visible.

When rhinoplasty is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, complications are reduced. However, certain complications can occur: infection, bleeding and adverse reactions to anesthesia.

Recovery
Most patients can resume their normal activities a week after the surgery. For 2-3 weeks should avoid activities such as: jogging, swimming, sexual activities or any effort that may cause an increase of blood pressure. Also avoid the cold.
